Coppa Piave Revival 34th edition
Coppa del Piave Revival, now in its 34th edition: a regularity race reserved for supercars and classic cars, will take place on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May 2023, organized by the Piave Jolly Club Committee, registered in the ACI SPORT calendar, valid as the only event of the National Regularity Championship Unione Nazionale Veterani dello Sport – UNVS (CONI’s Meritorious Association).
The competition has been taking place since 1949 and is certainly one of the most famous and ancient of our territory, the Veneto region: back in vogue in 1996, the race, taking place with the patronage of the Veneto Region and the Municipality of Treviso, has been held for some years in a single day with the start and the arrival in Treviso and parade of the participating cars along the streets of the historic center.
Headquarters, start and arrival of the race are already confirmed at the Hippodrome Sant’Artemio and the participants will face on the path will be 90 percent unpublished, divided into two stages of over 90 kilometers each.
The program – which will be unveiled in detail in the next few weeks – allows sporting checks on Saturday at 2 pm, while the start of the first stage takes place after the parade through the streets of Treviso, ending in the enchanting setting of the hills of Prosecco of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, UNESCO World Heritage.
Participants are welcomed with refreshments, waiting for the departure of the second stage, which takes place completely at night and brings the caravan back to Treviso.
A prestigious location hosts the awards ceremony on Sunday 14 May from 11 am and only then the names of the winners of the 2023 edition will be unveiled.
As per tradition, therefore, enthusiasts will find a route of about 200 kilometers waiting for them with hairpin bends, climbs, descents and the splendid hills of Conegliano illuminated by the stars.
The regularity races are sporting events that require compliance with the times and averages pre-established by the rules to be maintained in some section of the course called precisely timed trials; Coppa del Piave Revival fits into this context.
